General Information
The advances of nanotechnology provide paradigm-changing opportunities for disease diagnostic and therapy. The research in my lab will focus on developing new nanomaterials and methodologies for probing disease markers at single-cell and single-molecule level, and delivery siRNA and chemical drugs for targeting therapy.

Quantum dots (QDs), light-emitting nanocrystals, possess unique properties such as size-tunable emission, super brightness,outstanding photostable, abroad absorption spectra that enable the simultaneous excitation of multiple fluorescence colors. We will use new bioconjugation techniques for QD functionalization.The methodologies on QD-based IHC and in vivo imaging will be developed and translated into real-world application.

SiRNA –based gene therapy has broad potential to silence any disease genes. To achieve the clinical application of siRNA,we will build a variety of delivery carriers including proteins, nanoparticles and nucleic acids. Targeting delivery of chemical drugs will be performed to provide new distribution profile on conventional chemotherapy drugs.

Bispecific antibodies are promising to treat malignant cancers and infectious diseases. We will use gene engineering and bioconjugation strategies to develop bifunctional molecules for large-scale bispecific antibody screening, which will lay out foundation for discovery of new therapeutic targets.
